I'm Charles Wilmore II, but most people call me Chuck. I produce, record, mix, and master for independent artists. Most of what I make is hip-hop, R&B, and contemporary Christian.
I finished a B.A. in Music Production at Rider University when I was 19 and have been taking on paid work since 2024. Alongside the records, I built a weekly radio show at 107.7 The Bronc and ran it for a year: writing scripts, booking guests, tracking and editing the audio, and turning it in on deadline every single week.
Between those two things I picked up the side of this job that has nothing to do with being creative. Keeping a schedule. Labeling files so they make sense six months later. Sending stems in the format someone actually asked for. Telling an artist where their record stands before they have to ask me.
I build instrumentals and full records for independent artists. For custom work we start with a conversation about the record you are actually trying to make. If you would rather just grab a beat and go, they are up on BeatStars.
Tracking through final master. Vocal comping and tuning, mix revisions, and files delivered the way distributors and sync libraries ask for them, with stems and alternate versions included.
Topline, structure, and arrangement. I am comfortable writing in the room with you, and I am just as comfortable trading voice memos back and forth until the idea is right.
Radio, livestream, and stage. I produced and co-hosted a weekly program for a year and handled every part of it: concept, script, guests, recording, editing, delivery. I shot and cut the video that ran with it too.
I also build the tools I use. Under Tachyo Labs I write audio plugins for producers, and two of them are running below on real audio.
The plugin windows here are web copies of the real interfaces. The notes, stems and measurements inside them came out of the plugins themselves: a hummed voice memo for Vomidi, and my beat SAUCE for STEMIX.
Hum or sing a melody and get a MIDI clip you can drag straight onto a track. I wrote the pitch detection from scratch and tuned it on real voice memos.
Press Convert to hear the hum while the notes land, then Play MIDI to hear what Vomidi wrote down.
Splits a finished song into drums, bass, other and vocals, plus a residual stem that holds whatever the model missed, so the stems add back up to the original. It runs on your own computer and writes a sidecar file of measurements for every stem.
Press play, then use M and S to mute and solo, FX to switch on a stem’s cleanup chain, and the faders for level. Click a waveform to jump, or a stem name to show its chain and measurements, where the filters and gate can be dialled in.
